With Omicron hitting the World and I am down with a fever (Covid again), got tons of time to spend with myself in home isolation. As my temperature rises, I began to think about the immunity factor of my body and how I could boost mine in this hour of crisis. Then I found this Golden Turmeric Milk recipe on my desktop. I made this last year but never since edited the clips or published it anywhere. So I thought of doing it now. As they say, without further delay let’s jump into the recipe!!
This Golden Turmeric Milk or “Haldi Doodh” as they are called in North India, is a traditional Indian beverage made with the goodness of Turmeric, known for ages for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. The second most important ingredients are full-fat milk.
I N G R E D I E N T S ::
For 2 Cups, all you need:
Milk 2 Cups (regular full-fat milk)
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Black Pepper 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon Powder 1/4 tsp
Honey 1 tsp (or as per taste)
D I R E C T I O N S ::
In a saucepan, let the milk come to a boil, and then add all the other ingredients. Add honey at last. And your hot cup of Golden Turmeric Milk is ready. Garnish it on top with some cinnamon powder. Or leave it completely.
