As the proverbs go” morning shows the day”- the way you start up the day, the way your rest of the days will go. A peaceful morning not only boost up your energy for a great start but it makes you more productive, more focused, and more satisfying.
Now we all live in a fast-moving world. We are running and running always. We are always busy and don’t have time for ourselves. In the long run, this makes us no better than a robot. We also need to appreciate life. We should be thankful for the Life we get to enjoy on this Earth and make maximum use of it. And the best time to dedicate some time for yourself, mark my words, in the morning when the World is at sleep. You may devote very little time in the morning, but make it a point to dedicate this time every day no matter what comes, all for yourself.
Saying this, it is very hard to get up early in the beginning. I faced it as I was not at all a morning bird. But then I began to notice how my Life was moving from home to office and office to home, with no personal satisfaction, no peace for the mind. I had several dreams which are not fulfilled yet. I love reading books. I love to write down my thoughts. I love making food. But these are all nothing but dreams to me now. Then came the idea of waking up one or two hours before my house wakes up. It was really very hard in the beginning and I felt asleep in many days after the alarm goes off. Then I began to wake up with the first alarm. With times, I began to follow a morning routine, which eventually, turns into a ritual sort. This time is all for me and nobody could steal me out of it. Let it be a secret from the World outside!
Here I am, passing you the rituals which I do each morning so that you could gather some ideas for your own morning rituals to aim an energetic and most importantly, a peaceful morning.
As the alarm goes off, I get up from the bed and freshen up. Then I headed for the kitchen and make myself a cup of Black Tea. Adding ginger or lemon is optional as I like that morning. I enjoy my big cup of tea on the balcony. The steaming cup of tea with the cool breeze of the morning fills me with a lot of positive energy and sets my mood.
Next, I do some freehand stretching or some yoga, to activate my body for the rest of my day. At least three times a week, I make it a point to go out in the rooftop or in the road outside for some brisk walking.
After coming back, I took a shower. Then comes the time for my breakfast. I love making my own breakfast in the morning. The option for Indian breakfast is endless, but I go for some healthy one. Normally, I make Upma, pancakes, or Chira polau as I feel like. Plain chapattis or sandwich is also my favorite.
Still, I have one hour in my hand before going to Office. This is solely dedicated to reading or writing. I could read a couple of chapters from my favorite books, which was kept on the shelf for such a long time. Now I also began to write journals and planning to write some short stories in the future. Audiobooks are also very popular nowadays and easily available on the internet. Sometimes I do nothing but just listen to some cool music.
It was beyond my imagination that just by waking up one or two hours before time, I have so much time to do whatever I desire. Friends! I hope you too could have some ideas from my sharing and built peaceful, satisfying morning rituals.
